Welcome to K&M Press, a publishing company located in the mountains of Arizona. This is the home for works by me, Mary Young, a writer and editor for nearly 25 years.

Arizona Waterways is the first publishing project for K and M Press, although, as you will see from my bio, I have been published for many years in newspapers and magazines. I also have three other books on the market which you can learn about here.

Originally, Arizona Waterways was going to be published by a guidebook publisher, but I got frustrated after working months on the book then having him sit on it for a year before saying he wasn’t sure what he was going to do with it. I decided I could do this myself.

Of course no book sells unless the author markets it. I figured this would be a great opportunity for me to visit or re-visit many of Arizona’s most beautiful natural locations. As I do so, I will be taking photos for a 2008 calendar. We may from time to time add those photos to the Web site so be sure to check back.

Feel free to drop an e-mail and tell me about your favorite boating and fishing sites in the state. We aren’t going to blog here, but we may carry tips from our readers. And, if you purchase any of the other books, please let me know what you think.
